New module

Friday, January 23rd, 2009

Now the module design specilastaion has started. Wedensday we got a short brief from our Interactive art directores about what they´r thoughts around the assigment was. Sadly one of the Iad’s was in India so the brief was far from done. But it was kind of a good thing as well. This gave us the oprutunity to influens the consept. The idea the IAD came with was a library at Arlanda airport, in Stocholm, so that people could pick up a book on their way to spain or wherever. The reason for the idea is that we and the iads think that the reason for why people don go as much to the libraries is becaous they are booked al day long with kids, work and studying. Having a library at the place you start a long trip with a lot of waiting time is a way to make more people loan books. At least we think so.

After the IAD’s left my group went to the library in kna to do som research about libraries before we went back to school and did some brainstorming. The brainstorming gave us a lot, and we came up with a nother idea that we like. Since books are starting to get replaced by audio books we thougt that it would be cool with a machin at the airort library where you can download books to your mp3 player. And then, when your rent time of lets say 30 days is over, the file gets automaticly deleted…

It feels like a nice assigment and a nice group as well.

Theft

Tuesday, January 20th, 2009

Today i recived an email from Andreas Johansson in my class with a text writen by Jim Jarmusch saing:

“Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things yo steal from work that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. Authenticlty is invaluable; originality is non-existent.  And don’t bother concealing your thievery – celebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always remember what Jean_Luc Godard said: “it’s not were you take things from-it’s where you take them to”.

So today I will celebrate this theft of mine:

Saher Sidhom, Planner Great works

Thursday, January 15th, 2009

Today we had a lecturer from Great works called Saher Sidhom. He talked about what it means to be a planner and a lot about the fact that the regular people out there are now the media. Peoples opinions around products s and their commercial is now getting more and more important and it´s getting easier to communicate between the audience. As Saher said “The audience is no longer an audience and they will misbehave”.

He was a great lecturer. Talked with a clear voice, not to fast and not not to slow and he and an acsent that was wasy to follow. He seemd to be full of life and interested in what he was talking about wich made it easier to follow. He was nither afraid of discussions!

And just for the fun of it, here is a way cool commersial! you have to se it!
