Photo page

Monday, August 24th, 2009

I just changed my portfolio page to a photo page, it is still named portfolio page and does only contain two pictures. But it’s a start! Gonna keep on going after work tomorrow.

Tried to make one last change, but that fucked it all up… hmm

If anyone knows how to solve this problem, please comment.

This is me trying to explain:

I had to different word press accounts on the same domain, lillkarin.com and lillkarin.com/portfolio. I had the same username and password on both accounts. Today I was trying to change my portfolio into a gallery when I accidentally changed the Blog address (URL) from lillkarin.com/portfolio to lillkarin.com and now I cant find back to lillkarin.com/portfolio anymore.. how do I find the login account again? Please help

I am still alive and in perfect condition. The weekend has been fun and I found a new bar. Or actually a lounge. It’s called Escape and if I remember correctly it is placed on Rembrent square. It was rather expensive drinks there, 8-10 euros, but for us scandinavians thats still cheap. Their daiquiri is amazing.

Today I went to work again and have had a blast so far. I even got to take a photo of my boss to show you all what I have to work with..

This sunday I walked around in Amsterdam. Ate at an oriental chines restaurant and and found a market. At the market there was a band playing some music and one of the spectators was really into it…

A Night out in Amsterdam

Sunday, August 16th, 2009

Today I went out for my first time in Amsterdam on my own bill! I went to this awesome bar called minibar where you got the key to one of the minibars (there where 45). Then you could drink as much as you wanted from that bar without getting in line again. The minibar got fueled up during the time as well. I loved the concept. Less lines for the customers and less work for the workers. And it was very stylish with a clean design.

After a while at MiniBar we went on to Leidseplein and walked around for a bit. Checked out the outside of bars and clubs before we headed of to the famous Red Light District. I have been in Amsterdam for over two weeks now and this was my first day seeing Red Light. It was actually a bit disappointing. Don’t get me wrong, I was overwhelmed by all the sex. But I thought every window would be fueled of girls like a H&M window is fueled with dolls, and that there would be just as many windows as there where but in a more cramped space. Anyways, while walking down the streets of Red Light you could see boys standing together almost like in line watching girls doing their thing in the windows. Some places men where coming out of the doors while saying goodbye to a prostitute, smiling from ear to ear. Another place in Red Light, we walked past a strip bar where a old man was shouting outside: Free beer and free sluts on the bar!

Heineken

Saturday, August 15th, 2009

Today I had my first day as a real tourist in Amsterdam. I went to the Heineken museum and I got Brewed like a real heineken beer. After I became a beer I got to drink some beer from these tiny glasses. Every time I have been served drinks in Amsterdam it has been on those small glasses. Apparently you get small glasses so that you are able to drink the hole drink before it gets hot. A smart idea, but you have to get refill all the time.

Heineken was fun, If you ever go to Amsterdam make sure you visit Heineken.

I just went to the apple.com site and saw and ad I have seen many times before and rememberd that on the .no site the ad was slightly different… :

Why do the .com users GET an ipod with the mac while the .no user only might get one? Are Apple going Racist against the Norwegians? Its so hard to be a tech loving Norwegian when the hole apple world is going against you…

Today is my fist day at my intern. Its very nice and people are kind. I have gotten a phone at my desk witch is awesome and a few minutes ago one of the girls here gave me and Tommi some flowers. nice. There is also a building outside my window where I can read the temperature and a church. So if I become christian and need help with a project i can just turn my face to the church and pray… or something.
