About me

I am Lill Karin Saltermark, a girl from the suburb around Oslo, Norway. I love traveling and taking photos of nature and animals and I love to work with concept development, brain storming and problem solving.

My life started the 22 of November 1989 in a hospital in Oslo. That night there where no curtains in the hospital and my mom could watch the first snow of that winter fall down from the skies. A few days after that my parents brought me home to our house in Ås. My first years I do not remember much from, but my mom have told me that after watching some commercials about organ donation my mind was set on a profession for adulthood. I was going to sell my body. Luckily my childhood dream did not come true. At least not yet.

While finishing my 10th year at school I started wondering what to do next. I have always had a creative mind but did not know that creativity was a talent that could be used in the way I use it today. So I went for what I thought would be my thing back then. Making movies. So, I applied for Media and Communication for High school. I started on a media and communication school in Oslo and soon figured out that I liked still pictures more than moving pictures. I also grew a little passion for story telling and design.

My years at High School went fast and I was soon in my third and last year. Again I was unsure about what to do next dude to few media schools in Norway that appealed to my interests. But then during a Christmas dinner at my aunts place, my cusins girlfriend told me about Hyper Island, a great digital media school in Sweden.

So I applied, got in and moved to Sweden to go to Hyper Island. Halfway thru the program I had to find an internship placement for my seven month internship period. I browsed the web, talked to graduated Hyper student and met some interesting people in London before and during a party my class and I hosted. After some back and forward I found a place that I liked, Euro RSCG 4D, Amsterdam. An office devoted to their interns.

At the 1st of February I finished my internship at Euro RSCG and moved on to De-construct. I liked it very much at De-construct. They think had at least as much to offer me as I could offer them.

After my internshiped I went back to my job at Elkjøp and was soon promoted to second in comand in my department at Elkjøp. Elkjøp was founded in Norway, but is now owned by the dixon group. One of my greatest learnings at Elkjøp has been talking in different languages to make both young and old understand the subject.

Today I work as cashier manager at Outlet One at Vestby, Norway. Here I have learned to give both good and bad critique to my coworkers as well as I am always striving to become a better leader. Outlet One is a part of the Airport Reatil Group.

Some of the skills I have gotten over the years:
-Awesome presentation skills
-Awesome brainstorming skills
-Awesome concept development skills
-Awesome communication skills
-Awesome Social Media knowledge

Some of the brands I have worked with:
Volvo, Uniliver, Kraft, Malaysian Airlines, Olympisch Vuur, OK magazine, Blyk, Grolsch
