Today I took a little trip on my bike and went to Beatrix park where the Norwegian artist Elena Engelsen once made a sculpture of a playing dog. The dog was placed in the park to show thanks to the dog owners using the park. The sculpture was apparently made as a reaction to the law of having to walk your dogs with a leash that came in the 70’s.

My brother just vent to a shoutocup in drammen, Norway and won gold in Kata and bronze in free combat. After the cup some tough guys in black pants and white gi’s came over to him and asked if he wanted to join the Norwegian Karate Team. That is soooo Awesome! and for the record, my brother is 15, fifteen years old!
I did get a yellow belt in Karate myself…. twice… So I must be his inspiration!

17 Mai is the Norwegian constitution Day, a day we celebrate with parades, cakes, food, icecream and preferably in out national costume. If there is any day of the year I miss home, it is today. But since I am in Amsterdam I might as well make the best of it! so Here at the office I got some norwegian flags and norwegian candy. I am also planing on getting some icecream for the office.

Two weeks ago I delivered to rolls of film to a photo shop here in Amsterdam. I found the rolls together with a camera at my great grandma’s place and was planning on keeping the old rolls as decoration. But then I got the idea to print them, just in case there was something nice on them. On one of the rolls the numbers 1958 was written on it and while the pictures where sent away for development I kept on wondering ” is the rolls really 52 years old? or did they cost 19,58 kr? or did the numbers mean something else?” Since the rolls where so old, the photoshop could not develop them themselves and had to send them to a “special” place. After one week I got the negatives which looked great and I asked to get them printed. today I picked up the prints. They where 14 great picture all together that I will upload in 1,5 weeks when I figure out who everyone is. What I think I know today is that:
On this picture my grandma, Synnøve is standing togeter with one of her friends, probably Kirsten. If I have counted correctly, my grandma is 16 years old on this picture.

On this picture you can see my Great grandma, Judith at 32 years young together with my great grandpa, Egil who is looking out on the beautifull boats, mountains and sea in Lofoten.

Here is my great grandma and my great grandpa together

I have now packed my bags and I am ready to go home! The plain leaves in a couple of hours and I am looking forward to get home to my family. It also seems like my suitcase is getting easier and easier to recognise for every time I go on a trip. I just hope what I have put on it this time will stick, unlike the Donald Duck sticker in the midle that fell of several years ago.

This year I got a nikkor 10,5mm fisheye lens from my parents. I have tested it a bit, but I still need some practice!
